As the Systems Trainer you will be part of the Learning & Development team, working in partnership mainly with the Tech and IT teams. Your role reports directly to the Head of Talent and you will be responsible for designing and delivering high quality training interventions that support the launch and adoption of all technology and related process and procedures being rolled out across TOG.

A great relationship builder and facilitator, the role requires hands-on work, engaging with individuals, project teams and business stakeholders to meet programme deliverables and support the adoption of new technology with autonomy and accountability.

What you can expect as our Systems Trainer

  • Define training strategies with the project team and Head of Talent

  • Plan and co-ordination of activities and deliverables involved in the design and delivery of training which will be outlined in the training strategy

  • Contribute to implementation project plan development and status reporting as it relates to training activities

  • Plan and conduct training needs assessments in partnership with the project team leading the launch of the system

  • Plan, design and deliver training interventions aligned to the system functionality being developed. This may include webinars, online learning, user guides, tutorials and workshops

  • Adapt departmental processes into systems training

  • Contribute to test preparation activities, publication of training material, and scheduling training sessions

  • Generate communication regarding the training

  • Deliver pre-training demonstrations and trials in conjunction with the project team

  • Deliver train the trainer (superusers) and/or end user training as require

  • Support trainers to train their teams

  • Feedback user questions and comments and help us better prioritise features and resolve issues

  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the training we deliver to continuously improve our offer and deliver our ROI, keeping accurate records and managing our admin relating to all things learning

  • Generate best practice, considering advancements in the industry whilst always maintaining our culture

  • Deliver feedback to improve performance - role modelling our culture

We'd love to hear from you if you've got

  • Excellent proven stakeholder engagement and management skills at all levels

  • Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with others in order to influence L&D activities across the business

  • Proven training experience, including defining training needs, designing, delivering and evaluating engaging content at both group and one on one level

  • Experience working in training in operations, multi-site hospitality or retail industry

  • Experience in the use of other media such as video, webinars and tutorials in a blended learning environment

  • In depth knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) or similar platforms

  • Strong written English skills for documentation, instruction and additional training content

  • A university degree is essential

  • Experienced at taking learning briefs from internal clients and creating fit for purpose and commercially aligned learning interventions

  • Discreet, professional and well-presented, with great communication skills

  • A pro-active, positive and results-orientated approach with a focus on innovative approaches to constantly improve the L&D offering to the business

  • Is up to date with trends and innovations in training and development and makes recommendations

  • A completer-finisher who enjoys the detail

  • Demonstrable experience in IT or Systems areas.
