Team Leader - Residential
Up to £24,500 per Annum depending on qualifications and experience. Inclusive of Allowances, plus an excellent employee benefits programme.
A 37 hour working week and up to 7 weeks of annual leave (plus bank holidays)

Welcoming our Service:
We have an opportunity for a Team Leader to join our team in the Lothians.
The role will be to support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of our Residential services based across 2 locations; Edinburgh and Dalkeith.
As the Team Leader you will spend time supporting the staff team through supervision, team meetings and running a live rota. You will also spend time working directly with the young people within the service following detailed careplan.
Working within the Health and Social Care Standards; My support, my life and with particular focus on the Principles within the Standards; Dignity & Respect, Compassion, Be included, Responsive care and support and Wellbeing you will ensure a high quality of care is proved to all young people.
What is the role?
As Team Leader you will work with a range of professionals to ensure the children and young people you support develop to their full potential. You will lead, inspire and motivate your team to deliver meaningful support that changes children's lives. Working with the Registered Manager you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the culture across the services that seeks to support staff to provide high quality care.
You will be actively supported in your role and provide you and your team with specialist training, development and supervision.
What will you need?
A qualification in both SVQ4 in Social Services for Children and Young People although we would welcome individuals with an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care and a willingness to work towards the SVQ 4.
- Experience of working in a child-based environment, in similar support packages.
- Experience in Management of a small team working towards an outcome.
- Experience of juggling high workload and demands in an ever-changing environment
- Experience of idea transformation to a successful work model.
- Experience of supporting children and young people with, challenging behaviour, intellectual disabilities and additional support needs.
- Experience in supporting staff through reflective supervision practices.
- An understanding of the core needs of a child and how the work that we provide can cater towards this.
- The ability to communicate effectively and clearly with all stakeholders with the service.
- A close understanding of disability issues, attachment theory and Leadership styles.
- Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Standards; My support, my life, GIRFEC and SHANARRI and how these apply to the work we do.
