We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to lead a team in one of our service areas, including Early Help and Safeguarding Hub (EHASH) & Assessment, Locality Based Safeguarding Teams, Children and Families Disability Team (CFDT), or Permanence Teams.
With your leadership experience, you'll ensure a strengths-based, relationship-focused approach is at the heart of the team's work, driving collaboration and high standards of practice. You'll oversee assessments, interventions, and goal-oriented plans that promote positive outcomes for children and young people. Your expertise in systemic practice, including the use of tools like genograms, will guide the team in achieving evidence-based, impactful results.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and support a team of Social Workers and other staff, ensuring high standards of practice in line with the team's service area.
- Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to team members to ensure effective social work practice and professional development.
- Ensure that all social work practice meets the required standards, delivering high-quality interventions for children, young people, and families.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, ensuring that casework is in line with regulatory frameworks and practice guidelines.
- Ensure the efficient use of resources within the team, including managing workloads and ensuring appropriate allocation of cases.
- Encourage collaboration and different perspectives in decision-making to enhance outcomes for children and families.
- Ensure that all plans, including family and goal-oriented plans, are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound).
- Prepare and present reports on team performance, case progress, and service outcomes to senior management as required.
What You Need?
To be successful in the application process, candidates will need to have:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent experience.
- Professional qualification in Social Work (e.g., Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, CQSW).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Graduate Certificate/Foundation Level qualification in Systemic Practice/Family Therapy (within 36 months).
- Achieve Level 2 Practice Educator Standards Certification (within 36 months).
- Strong motivation to work with children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
- Ability to form professional relationships and maintain boundaries.
- Constructive challenge and ability to drive improvements and manage change.
