Location: Broughton (on‑site)
Hours: 35 hours per week, 4.5‑day pattern (between 7am-7pm)
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

We're partnering with Airbus to find a proactive Technical Support Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in keeping production moving smoothly by resolving technical issues, supporting shop‑floor teams, and contributing to operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll provide vital lineside support to ensure aircraft production runs efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include:
Daily Shop‑Floor & Lineside Support
- Providing hands‑on technical support to resolve issues such as missing parts, non‑conformities, concessions, outstanding work and tooling matters.
- Supporting work‑order management, including out‑of‑cycle tasks and identifying blocked work orders.
- Escalating issues to specialist teams (Work Prep, PPE, Maintenance, MAP and Outstanding Work) when required.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Contributing to lean initiatives and helping identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve shop‑floor processes.
- Supporting analysis of industrial systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Quality, Safety & Logistics Support
- Helping ensure production and quality standards are maintained at all stations.
- Supporting the communication and application of EH&S rules and identifying near‑misses.
- Assisting with the prioritisation of materials linked to rework orders.
Tools, Jigs & Asset Support
- Assisting in creation or modification requests for new tools, jigs and small tooling repairs.
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone with strong practical engineering experience and a passion for problem‑solving.
Essential Experience
- Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, aviation, production or lineside environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, engineering methods and technical issue resolution.
- A systematic, organised approach with excellent analytical and practical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment.
