A Defence & Missile client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are currently seeking an experienced Test Architect to join their team in Stevenage. The selected Candidate will be responsible for defining and managing the requirements for Test Equipment and Test Specifications. This crucial role requires someone with a robust skill set and attention to detail.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong understanding of Digital and Analogue Electronics
  • Proficiency in creating wiring diagrams and schedules using Microsoft products
  • Knowledge of instrument communication systems (GPIB / Lan / BCD), power control and switching, supply regulation, interlock and safety-related circuits, and safe handling of low to medium power RF signals.
  • Essential understanding of RF measurement techniques, boundary scan (JTAG) test, diagnostics, programming, and firmware coding.
  • Competence in CAE Design tools, negotiating subsystem requirements, writing subsystem requirements and associated documents, and delivering concise and accurate reports and presentations.
  • Experience in designing, integrating, and validating test solutions for electronic/electro-mechanical equipment and systems.

  • Resolve complex technical problems using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Possess a wide-ranging technical background covering system-level to component-level expertise in various disciplines such as EMC, RF, Digital & Analogue, Video, and Power supplies.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and modification of engineering processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with managers to drive team improvements.
  • Work across multiple projects and develop solutions for products at different stages of maturity, including prototyping, production, and end-user equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
