Overview

Guidant is delighted to be partnering Airbus, a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, in their search for multiple Warehouse & Tooling Associates. You will be required to control and ensure all tooling and equipment is accounted for to support the Airbus Military (UK) Line Maintenance and Workshop approval and additionally meet the needs of the Maintenance and Repair Organisation.

Responsibilities

To support the Maintenance Services to ensure that all necessary tooling and equipment required to support Airbus Military UK are accounted for, controlled and managed. This includes:

  • Be trained and competent in using the TC Max system.
  • Carry out 100% inventory check of the store against the system at each handover.
  • Complete required paperwork for governance of the store including zonal checks at set periods determined by the controlling procedure.
  • Ensure when issuing equipment and tooling that a 100% content check is carried out.
  • Ensure when receiving back equipment and tooling that a 100% content check is carried, the items are serviceable, any consumables are replenished as required and that the items are clean and not damaged.
  • Manage all kits with multiple items ensuring they are sealed using a tag once accepted.
  • Ensure all items returning as U/S (Unserviceable) are clearly marked with a U/S label, quarantined, and highlighted to the Maintenance Integrator.
  • Ensure all items out of calibration are clearly marked with a U/S label and quarantined.
  • Controlling the access rights to the tool store.
  • Report any abnormalities for immediate investigation.
  • Ensure all tools are cleared on TC Max for the applicable aircraft.

Working Hours

  • 12 hours per day, including night shifts (shift uplift for night shifts).
  • 5 days on, 4 days off.
  • Average of 42 hours per week over 12 months.

Skill Set

  • Experience in practical implementation of engineering and customer support.
  • Good commercial awareness and experience in dealing with customers.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, including in communication using technical vocabulary.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day communications effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to understand and interpret stakeholder expectations and needs.
  • Ability to manage and cultivate important relationships essential.
  • Ability to influence important relationships at a wide range of levels (e.g., working level and management) whilst acting as a trusted advisor essential.
  • Ability to take the initiative in sustaining customer satisfaction under pressure necessary, including the willingness to take ownership of problems and provide authoritative answers.
