The UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, are looking for a skilled Windows Infrastructure Support Engineer working in partnership with the infrastructure team based at the Bristol site with periodic travel to Stevenage and Bolton.

What you'll get to do as a Windows Infrastructure Support Engineer:

  • Windows machine management (mainly Wintel-XP, VISTA, Win7m Win10, with some Linux work needed (Redhat 5 to 8, Ubuntu, Suse), to ensure machine security compliance.
  • Liaise with IT service suppliers to achieve security compliance.
  • Assistance with governance policy for connecting devices to MBDA network across Bristol / Stevenage / Bolton sites.
  • Network and equipment monitoring, investigation, and deployment
  • Obsolescence management/legacy support Wintel and Linux
  • Assistance in enforcing network security policies.
  • Deploy managed basic infrastructure - DHCP server, proxy DNS etc
  • Antivirus and backup strategy and deployment
  • Identification and implementation (either directly or indirectly) of network management process improvements.
