Guidant Global is proud to partner with Airbus to recruit a Wing Industrial Architect, a unique opportunity to help co‑create the next generation of aerospace products and the industrial systems that bring them to life.
Working as part of a highly collaborative, transnational team across the UK, Spain and Germany, you'll play a critical role in designing, validating and optimising industrial concepts for future aircraft programmes. This is an exciting chance to work at the forefront of aerospace innovation while contributing to a more sustainable future for flight.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll work across multiple stakeholders to develop an optimised industrial system concept that meets programme requirements. You will build broad expertise across wing components while developing technical, leadership and project management capabilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Industrial System Design & Readiness
- Supporting one or more new wing programmes, ensuring industrial readiness for programme launch and ramp‑up.
- Leading or contributing to Value Stream Analysis and Mapping for new industrial set‑ups.
- Conducting rate and capacity analysis using Takt Time, Cycle Time, Lead Time, OEE and other key performance indicators.
Digital Innovation & Simulation
- Supporting the development and maturation of a new Industrial Ramp‑up Simulation tool.
- Assisting with the deployment of digital factory solutions (e.g. Virtual Reality for industrialisation, 3DExperience, Digital Twins).
Lean & Continuous Improvement
- Applying lean principles to support Lean Line Design during industrialisation phases.
- Supporting Industrial Performance Assessments and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
Leadership, Influence & Project Delivery
- Collaborating with engineering teams, manufacturing plants and external stakeholders.
- Supporting project planning, risk management, progress tracking and reporting.
- Building strong working relationships and influencing decisions in a trusted, open environment.

Essential skills & experience
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of wing assembly processes.
- Experience in aerostructure assembly within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- A collaborative mindset and the desire to work across technical teams and operational functions.
- A creative approach to solving complex challenges, using evidence to support decision‑making.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working with suppliers, research partners or cross‑functional programmes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.

- Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm)
- Travel: Occasional UK travel
