Young Persons Worker
Contract: FTC until March 2021
Hours: Full time
Salary: £16,500 per year

1 in 10 children in every classroom suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder. The Blues is an evidenced based CBT influenced programme to support the reduction of depression in young people using an early intervention model.
Through our successful partnership with Royal Mail we are able to deliver the Blues programme to 15-18yr old young people in schools, colleges and sixth forms across the Wirral and Liverpool for the next two years.
The Blues programme is a vital part of our work. We are looking for a motivated Young Person's Worker who is committed to supporting young people's mental health to deliver this service in the Wirral and Liverpool. You will be part of a national programme across Action for Children's four nations.
How you'll make a difference:
- By supporting the delivery group work to around 500 young people as year as a team
- By supporting young people's skills in order to manage their own emotional wellbeing
- By working in partnership with schools and colleges
What you'll need:
- Experience in youth work, working with families, childcare or other relevant field
- Experience of working with young people aged 15-18
- A commitment to supporting young people's mental health
- Confident and good communicator
- Ability to engage and build rapport
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Driver essential (working in schools across Liverpool and the Wirral
