Guidant Global is delighted to be partnering with Airbus, a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, in their search for a Communications Coordinator.
Airbus UK is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join their Communications team based in Covent Garden, London, to cover a 12-month fixed term period of maternity leave. You'll join a fantastic international team of dynamic and experienced communications professionals who bring Airbus' purpose to life: Pioneering sustainable aerospace for a safe and united world.
You will be responsible for supporting the UK communications team to deliver communication activities and plans, including thought leadership and executive messaging, media relations, social media, events and exhibitions, and internal communications. You will also assist in the production, updating and management of communications collateral including brochures, fact sheets, briefing documents, and topic briefs.
The Communications Coordinator will report to the National Communications Coordinator UK and will be part of a Communications team within the Global Business and International Communications Coordination department.
Responsibilities
- Coordination and monitoring of communication activities and plans.
- Reporting of communication activities and analysis of KPIs.
- Assist in the production, updating and management of communications collateral including web pages, brochures, fact sheets, briefing documents, topic briefs.
- Support the creation and development of traditional and social media engagement.
- Assist in organisation of events, exhibitions, VIP visits etc.
- Support employee engagement activities.
- Media monitoring - analysis of coverage.
- Research to support communication objectives.

Skill Set
- An undergraduate degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Studies, Economics or English.
- Knowledge of communications and stakeholder engagement principles.
- Able to work efficiently on very short deadlines, work in a fast-changing environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
- True team-player, proactive, working in a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work with people from all levels, from local contractors to VIPs and senior management (external and internal).
- Excellent English language skills (oral and written), any additional language is a plus.
- Not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to stakeholders of all levels.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal hours (e.g., at Airshows).
- Experience in corporate event management would be a bonus.
