Family Support Practitioner

Location: Norfolk - City and Eaton
Contract: Permanent, Full Time position working 37 hours a week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Salary: £20,300 - £23,800 per annum DOE

We are currently recruiting for a Family Support Practitioner to work across the City and Eaton area of Norfolk.

What do we as a service provide?

Norfolk Early Childhood & Family Service (ECFS) is a community outreach service delivering targeted support to families. Working closely with others, we provide children aged 0 to 5 years and their families with the best start in life, giving them a secure base, creating learning and developmental opportunities, building aspirations as well as ensuring we keep children safe.

What will the role be focused on?

The role is focused on working across the City and Eaton cluster to improve child and family life outcomes. This will be achieved by:

  • Delivering child - focused intervention support to families with multiple needs.
  • Day to day resource planning to ensure high quality services are delivered.
  • Attending multi agency meetings.
  • Establishing excellent rapport with individual families as well as assessing their needs.
  • By ensuring a safe and positive work and service environment is achieved through compliance with all safeguarding, safer recruitment, health and safety policy and procedures.

What will you need?

To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, Social Care, or equivalent
  • Experience of working with age ranges of 0 to 5 years and families
  • Experience of working in multi-agency and supporter settings
  • Access to a car & driving licence (frequent travel between services/homes is required)
  • Strong communication skills & a commitment to caring
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding
