Hours between 8am - 6pm

We have a new vacancy for a Finance Technical specialist and are looking technical individuals to join the team in Basingstoke. Your role will be to work as part of the Operational Finance team to provide support to both the Customer Service team and the Client on Finance related tasks. Responsible for maintaining the control environment and using technical expertise to analyse and resolve complex queries to ensure Diligenta remains compliant and meets regulator reporting requirements.

Your Role With Us:

  • To manage all aspects of a range of Finance processes - including where applicable unclaimed assets register, accounts payable, cost allocation, payroll, reinsurance, PRAS and RTI/PAYE reporting, risk management and change, and cash management - in order to meet relevant deadlines/SLAs.
  • Focus on positive Customer Outcomes.
  • Production and analysis of monthly/adhoc information for management, SLOC UK and external legal entities.
  • Completion of SLOC UK balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with SLOC UK Corporate Standards.
  • Processes and procedures reviewed and maintained at least annually.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and keep up to date and fully conversant with statutory obligations and relevant legislation/regulatory requirements applicable to the role and business area, including an understanding of Company policies.
  • Support Finance project work and risk management.
  • Approval of cash payments, supplier/expense pay runs and payrolls.
  • Resolution of complex queries (from both internal and external customers).

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade 'C' or above, to include Maths and English.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • MS Office to intermediate level
  • Finance and Policy Administration systems.
  • Previous experience in accounting and reconciliation environment.
  • Financial reporting and controls experience.
  • Development and implementation of system and change initiatives.
  • Abreast of technical developments and their impact on operational activities.
  • Knowledge of Reassurance processing
