Our client is a valued partner of the UK Ministry of Defence and is seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer with a minimum of 4+ years of experience to join their team. The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting the development of complex FPGA projects in our client's portfolio. These projects include cutting-edge signal processing systems such as Image/Radio, embedded processing systems at the core, and safety-critical systems.

The role requires the candidate to have expertise in all aspects of the FPGA design and verification cycle. This contract position has an opportunity for extension or to be made permanent with a hybrid work-from-home split work framework.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) candidates with significant experience in FPGA development.
  • Proficient in VHDL language and Design Skills. (Highly essential)
  • Proficient in verification skills using VHDL and SystemVerilog methodologies. (Highly essential)
  • Extensive experience designing for Xilinx, Intel, or Microsemi FPGAs.
  • Experience in professional configuration and documentation of designs.
  • Experience working as part of a large multidisciplinary team.

What you'll get to do as a FPGA Design Engineer:

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating complex FPGA architectures, verifying FPGA implementations, designing FPGA using Mentor verification tools, developing low-level software, creating and documenting designs with accuracy and attention to detail, and collaborating with the team to deliver intricate FPGA-based projects.s.
