Guidant Global is working with the UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, seeking an experienced Industrial Validation Engineer (Supplied Equipment) to monitor and validate the development of manufacturing systems at" Major Equipment" Suppliers up to successful Validation of Manufacturing System (VMS) at the Stevenage site.
As an Industrial Validation Engineer (Supplied Equipment), you'll ensure sustained product delivery and quality during series production.
What you'll get to do as an Industrial Validation Engineer (Supplied Equipment):
- Undertake Project Industrial activities up to Validation Manufacturing Systems "VMS", on behalf of the Industrial Manager for Supplied Equipment.
- Manage the project Industrial Validation Plan for supplied equipment.
- As part of the multi-functional team, monitor, evaluate and report on the development and validation of Supplier's manufacturing systems.
- Tracking progress against Supplier industrial plans, maintaining Industrial Dashboards.
- Support Suppliers in undertaking Industrial Validation activities, such as Process FMEAs, MRL assessments, FAI, PRR etc., to ensure that robust and comprehensive industrial solutions are developed and available.
- Ensure the development and implementation of Supplier Manufacturing Inspection and Test architectures and processes agreed with Supplier manufacturing plans.
- Analyse Supplier non-conformances relating to the Manufacturing System, track to closure agreed with improvement/corrective actions.
- Produce supplier Surveillance Plans for series production (to be implemented by the Supply Chain Manager).
- Maintain and update industrial risks & opportunities register, including risks to UPC and delivery schedule.
- Facilitate operational involvement of suppliers during development to promote co-specification methodologies across projects.
- Support Industrial Manager for Supplied Equipment in generating bids for Manufacturing work package estimates.
- Contribute to monthly time now updates and regular Cost at Completion reviews.
What we're looking for:
- HND qualified or equivalent, plus relevant, and recent project or industrial experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial cost awareness
- Experienced in Product and Process Risk Identification and Management.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain principles, practices, and processes
- Excellent experiences in more than one phase of the engineering life cycle, with sufficient expertise to understand adjacent stages and through-life issues.
- Thorough understanding of the MBDA Business management System
- Capable of managing work packages, with knowledge of project management practices and processes.
- Communicates verbally and in writing in style appropriate to the audience.
