Due to expansion a project & Performance Management Support position has arisen of Clients Business Operations domain of the Landing Gear Centre of Competence (CoC).
The successful candidate will provide in-service support for all Clients products in airline service, design of significant derivatives, developing clean-sheet designs for new aircraft programmes and Research & Technology studies.
Responsibilities
The core purpose of the role is to assure certain key aspects of business data, and to accurately execute a range of critical business functions which underpin the COC's ability to deliver on its commitments.
The successful applicant will be key in ensuring efficient and timely flow of information between a range of stakeholders inside and outside the CoC and will act as a primary focal point on specific business management topics between allocated operational business management teams.
● Assuring the quality of detail planning to align with the Statement of Work - particularly in terms of milestone scheduling and the clarity of and logic behind resource requirements
● Maintenance of, and in some instances initial entry into, the CoC's business management data warehouse (e.g. Statement of Work milestones, resource and forecast cost data)
● Validation of offload requests against the offload plan, and support the launch of supplier tasking documents, in line with Clients policy & processes and CoC guidelines
● Monitoring of a series of key performance indicators, including the Engineering Golden Rules, assuring commitments are delivered and highlighting issues at the earliest opportunity for issue identification and management
● Ensuring under performance is adequately reviewed by key staff using the Clients standard techniques, and an appropriate set of actions are defined and executed to prevent recurrence and learn lessons Skills, experience, qualifications and traits Essential
Skills & Experience
● A Business Management or project management qualification to A-level standard as a minimum (or equivalent)
● Programme management experience
● Excellent organisational skills
● Effective operational control management within a large/complex organisation
● A persuasive and effective team player who will hold others to account for delivery, and live up to the same expectations themselves Desired
● Familiarity of both waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
● Have a good understanding of the Engineering and Clients UK environment
● Able to analyse and synthesise information from multiple sources
● Ability to challenge the status quo and propose alternative approaches
● Contribute fully to continuous improvement and change management
