The role
The Dundee Housing Support Services provide early intervention support for families and young people on a residential and outreach basis. Our mission is to reduced homelessness with young people by providing a range of interventions, including housing advice, conflict resolution, education in schools, group work and support for the individual you person. We assist young people, between the ages of 16-21, who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, previously 'looked After' and young people who have additional support needs.
We are looking for relief/casual workers who will offer support to families and young people within the residential services.
You will make a difference by:
-Delivering advice and support to families and young people struggling to maintain routines, budgeting, home maintenance, parenting and daily life skills in general.
-Building positive relationships with families and young people.
-Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
You will need:
-SVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience of working with adults, young people and children.
-Knowledge of Safeguarding.
