The role
Spring Nursery Milecross is at the heart of the community and offers 64 Ofsted-registered places for children aged between three months and four years old. We are a committed, friendly and well-qualified nursery team who provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for children.
The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with a focus on learning through play and actively encourages parents to become involved. We have four different rooms covering the varying age groups and offer on-site facilities such as a garden and on-site cook who provides delicious and nutritious meals for all children.
We are now looking for Early years assistants to join our lovely team of childcare professionals on an ad hoc basis.
You will make a difference by:
-Working alongside nursery practitioners in supporting children's development, participating, planning and setting up activities for a range of children
-Developing successful relationships with children and their families
-Observing and track children's development and share this with parent/carers and other professionals
-Supporting children during mealtimes and toilet training
-Attending monthly staff meetings and 6 monthly parents/carers evenings
You will need:
-Level 2 early years and childcare qualification e.g. NNEB, CACHE, Or minimum NVQ level 2 or above
-Safeguarding Level 2 or ability to achieve
-A genuine interest in childcare & a true passion and love for children.
-Patience, a friendly manner, and the ability to communicate with children, young people, colleagues and other adults such as parents and carers.
