About the Role
Are you ready to take your engineering career to new heights? We're looking for a passionate Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join the Wing Analysis Engineering team at Airbus, Filton. You'll be part of a diverse group of technical specialists and engineering leads, all dedicated to finding innovative solutions for Airbus wing products. This is your chance to work on a wide range of projects, from incremental developments in Single Aisle and Widebody programmes to cost-saving and airworthiness modifications. Our team is involved in every stage of the Product Development Plan, from feasibility studies to certification and in-service support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Approving F&DT deliverables and leading the resolution of technical challenges using advanced methods
- Owning the technical scope of assigned projects and tasks
- Contributing fresh ideas and engineering solutions, drawing on experience from aerospace and other industries
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members, both technically and behaviourally
- Collaborating in a truly international and multi-national environment, where integrity and teamwork are valued
What We're Looking For
- Experience in structures engineering and analytical techniques
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structural design principles
- Approver status (or close to obtaining) in F&DT analysis
- A background in engineering, with expertise in fatigue and damage tolerance
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages and cultural awareness are a plus
- Familiarity with Airbus tools and ways of working (Single Aisle preferred, Widebody considered)
- Ideally, experience within Airbus and signatory status
