Guidant Global is recruiting on behalf of UCL for a Team Leader for an Immigration & HR Compliance role for a 6-month contract with an immediate start.
The post-holder will be part of the Human Resources department. The HR Services Team Leader - Compliance will manage a team of Compliance Officers to ensure compliant regulatory processes are delivered and maintained across HR Services teams and external business areas, in a fast-paced, dynamic, proactive working environment.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Line manage and coach Compliance Officers to ensure they are developing and performing in their role
- Ensure HR Services remains compliant with its administration processes through regular reporting and monitoring
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure policy and guidance documentation is in line with legislative changes
- Ensure consistent high levels of data accuracy within the Compliance Team via weekly and monthly reporting
- Relationship management of UCL & External Immigration and e-DBS providers, including commercial and performance metrics
- Regular reporting providing Right to Work, Immigration & UK legislation compliance
- Management of internal and external Compliance and Payroll audits as required
- Deliver required training and briefings to HR Services and business teams as/ when required
- Work collaboratively and proactively with colleagues and peers to enhance compliance processes as needed
- Ensure engagement with customers and stakeholders is positive and delivers the best solution, every time.
- Create, maintain, and monitor standard operating procedures
- Deputise for HR Services Manager - Administration and/ or other HR Services Team Leaders when required
- Participate in projects to help drive HR strategy, system improvements, and process reviews
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Experience in a team leader role, managing a team that provides high-quality advice and guidance in a customer service environment.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in advising on, managing, and applying UK Immigration frameworks (including Sponsorship routes), ideally in the skilled worker sector (e.g. scientific, HE, and other highly skilled sectors).
- Experience in providing guidance and support to customers, teams, and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / ticketing system (e.g. RemedyForce) to manage customer correspondence, processes, and service delivery, with the ability to report on and analyse inputs, trends, and performance.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to drive high performance and measurable outputs Essential
Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in the face of competing demands, whilst ensuring high levels of accuracy are maintained.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to be able to develop strong working relationships both within and outside of the HR division.
- Excellent computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
