Job Description

The Marketing Manager - Channel will be responsible for devising and delivering strategic campaign activity, the Intelligence and Advisory brand of our TechTarget. The primary focus of the role will be supporting revenue growth goals by creating compelling content campaigns, engaging audience, and driving leads.

Collaborating with the wider marketing team, sales, commercial product management, and analysts, the Marketing Manager will create and deliver strategic campaigns aligned to key market trends across the Channel and the Canalys Forums. Instrumental to your success will be using data to improve your decision making by analyzing your campaign metrics to suggest improvements for future activations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute year-round marketing campaigns, aligned to the overall business goals and objectives, as well as market-segment specific goals and objectives.
  • Create and deliver demand generation campaigns to support vendor and sponsorship revenue goals, as well as strategies to engage channel partner and distributor audiences.
  • Work on the ideation, execution, and management of integrated marketing, communications, and demand generation/lead generation campaigns through web, digital advertising, paid media and media partnerships, email, social media, and other tactics.
  • Build insight-based campaigns which rely on strong content themes to showcase the expertise and knowledge of the channel practice.
  • Work on making the our website the central point of all content-led, insights-driven lead generation campaigns, owning the development of copy, calls to action, and customer journey for marketing campaigns, based on target customer segments, campaign goals, and desired results.
  • Ensure consistent use of established branding, core value proposition messaging, imagery, and positioning across internal and external marketing materials, graphics, communications, and more.
  • Maintain internal relationships (SEM, SEO, design, web dev teams etc.) and external relationships with relevant vendors and partners.
  • Interpret and analyze marketing/advertising campaign results and data; test, monitor, analyze and optimize according to KPIs; develop recommended strategies, timelines, and tactics to further optimize marketing spend and campaign ROI.
  • Analyze and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaigns.
  • Manage the marketing budget for assigned projects/market segments - planning, monitoring, and reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or relevant experience
  • Experience in progressively more complex B2B campaigns, creating and managing digital content/insights campaigns independently
  • Thorough understanding & experience of marketing function, planning, operations, and execution using marketing automation technology (preferably Marketo), training and optimization
  • Experience of working with CMS platforms (but coding knowledge not required), training and optimization
  • Thorough understanding & experience of digital (PPC, SEM, SEO, online advertising) and content marketing
  • Budget management experience
  • Database development and growth including segmentation / personalization
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, goal-oriented and self-motivated
  • Adapts to changing situations and requirements, manages multiple deadlines and activities simultaneously
  • Out of the box thinking, willing to challenge norms and come up with new ideas and approaches on reaching audiences and engaging our customers
  • Able to build strong business relationships. Well-developed presentation skills
  • Problem solver, balancing stakeholder needs while maintaining brand and business objectives. Identifies roadblocks, determines fixes, and works in a team environment to implement the solutions to get to the end goal
  • Channel experience advantageous, but not essential.
