Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a A320 Quality Project Manager to join our A320 New Developments Programme Quality Department in Broughton, UK. A320 New Developments cover Airframe, Systems and Powerplant.
They consist of strategic modifications, aiming at maximizing improvements to the aircraft whilst minimizing the industrial impact. The Programme Quality team is defining, planning, and driving all Quality activities for the development of the Single Aisle New Development projects, to ensure quality right first time on time every time.
You will get the opportunity to be part of the development activity at aircraft project level, integrated into the Project Multi-Functional-Team, with the delegation to set-up, and run the related Quality project: all the Quality activities needed to ensure project success. You will be part of the Single Aisle Programme Quality international team (France, UK, Spain, and Germany), influencing future projects and processes as they are developed.

Responsibilities
Project management
- Set-up and run the Quality project integrated into the assigned New Development project: quality activities defined, agreed at project level, and duly planned (Project Quality Development Plan/Quality Implementation Plan), resources budgeted and available (project Quality team), governance in place and monitoring set-up and running.
- Act as the single focal point for Quality for assigned projects, guiding the project Team towards "quality right first time" and ensuring that the "Independent Quality Voice" is heard and adhered to.
- Coordinate the network of all Quality Functions involved in the Team (Quality Engineering, Quality Manufacturing, Quality Plants and FALs, Procurement), facilitating interactions with the Airframe, System & Powerplant Programme Teams.
Prevention for Airframe/System/Powerplant projects
- Implement and monitor all preventive activities to ensure "Quality Right First Time", and especially drive the disciplined application of the Quality Standards (D/PFMEA, KC / CTI, Control Plan, …) and the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) throughout the project phases.
Process compliance
- Ensure projects' compliance to the Airbus "Product Development Process" and the "Single Aisle Programme Quality Policy", framing and supporting the architecture of the applicable Development Reviews at aircraft level, for the assigned projects.
Product Quality Assurance
- Prevent Non-Quality by setting and monitoring specific Quality project targets (non-conformities, concessions, DQNs), to ensure preventive and corrective actions are properly put in place.
Requirements
- Strong Project management skills and competence
- Experience in Quality, competence in Quality Standards such as Failure Modes and
- Effect Analysis (FMEA), Key Characteristics/Critical Items (KC/CTI), Control Plan, Measurement Systems Analysis, Statistical Process Control.
- Competence in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) - inside or outside of Airbus
- Strong assertiveness and leadership skills
- Strong stakeholders management, change management, proactivity
- Ability to keep focus on what matters
- Ability to give meaning and to influence
- Ability to properly structure and facilitate problem-solving
- Experience in Programmes, Engineering, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Configuration Management would be an asset.
