The Overview
The Reward Manager leads the delivery of market aligned, commercially focused reward solutions. The role will act as a key contributor to the implementation of the overall Reward Strategy.
The role will be primarily responsible for the following:
- The enhancement, management, and execution of large-scale cyclical reward activities
- Providing research and analysis to underpin the continuous improvement in the provision of reward activity across the business
- Act as the Reward Lead with primary responsibility for Compensation and Benefits across the organisation
- Influence through the provision of reward insight and expertise ensuring consistency and governance, whilst business partnering across the people team (Business Support Centre, Employee Relations, Organisational Effectiveness, Talent and Performance, Resourcing and People Business Partnering), as well as finance and internal communication teams
- A subject matter expert in the specialist area of compensation, benefits and recognition, and acts as a point of contact for all Reward matters
This role will work with, support development as well as implement Reward approaches that will impact all colleagues. The role will be responsible for building internal and external networks and participating in industry related forums.
Principle Accountabilities
Responsible for managing all companywide cyclical reward programmes; working seamlessly with BSC and other People teams on implementation and delivery
Responsible for the management of the Broad banding framework, including salary ranges to ensure that they support organisational design and business requirements
Operate as the Reward central point of contact for the organisations People Team colleagues
Develop, design and implement the Reward communication and education plan in line with the Heathrow reward calendar. Identify ways to promote knowledge and understanding of reward related topics and provide input and direction to all reward educational tools
Conduct detailed analysis and modelling of data on reward related topics, design data / information dashboards as and when required
Examples of specific responsibilities include:
Lead the ASR / Pay Deal cycles, Bonus and Long-Term Incentive Plans launch / pay-out processes
- Provide guidance to OneHR and the People Team on reward initiatives including providing support and direction for the cyclical programmes
- Accountable for Reward related TUPE and M&A activity
- Prepare papers and presentations to support key reward initiatives, decisions
- Reward governance
- Management and reconciliation of Reward spend and budgets
- Lead the delivery of benefit renewals
- Management of the recognition programme
- Lead reward projects as required, end-to-end including change initiatives
- Allocate tasks across the Reward advisors, be a coach and mentor to them and their own development
- Build internal and external networks to provide thought leadership, informed by market awareness, external benchmarking and legislation on all aspects of reward
- Closely manage the relationships and activities with external providers including regular contract reviews and cost management (eg Willis Towers Watson and benefit providers), to ensure that we have access to appropriate benchmarking data to support our reward framework

Qualifications
Excellent MS office application knowledge including Excel, PowerPoint and Word |

Knowledge of Oracle, desirable but not essential |
Experience of working in a Unionised environment preferable |
Experience of Willis Towers Watson Job Evaluation preferable |
Capability to conduct detailed and often complex analysis and modelling of data preferable |
