Key Responsibilities:
- Manage caseloads and implement care plans for children and families
- Conduct assessments, maintain accurate casework records, and manage local services
- Support children, parents, and carers in developing sustainable support networks
- Provide guidance to children, parents and carers on the development and maintenance of appropriate support networks and services within their own homes and/or in the community
- Statutory and regulatory frameworks relevant to Social Work.
- Working with children and their families and of communication methods
- The requirements of the Knowledge and Skills Framework for Child and Family Social Work
- Family relationships and dynamics.
What do you need?
To be successful in the application process, candidates will need to have:
- Qualified social worker experience (excluding those undertaking ASYE)
- A strong understanding and adherence to the professional ethics and standards outlined in the BASW Code of Ethics and Social Work England Codes of Practice
- Experience in case management
- Proven ability to conduct timely assessments of service users' needs, following practice guidance and departmental policies
- Experience in formulating, implementing, and reviewing care plans
- The ability to effectively engage and build relationships with vulnerable children, young people, families, and other key stakeholders.
