The role.
Dorset Parent Training & Education offer a range of parenting programmes to families looking for additional help with managing their children's behaviour.
Their aim is to help teach and show how to support children in all areas of their development.
This role will see you supporting children, young people and families by delivering Incredible Years Parenting Programmes, enabling positive and agreed outcomes to be achieved, in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
You will make a difference by:
- Providing a high-quality service to children, young people and their families, based on an assessment of need and agreed clinical outcome measures.
- Delivering a complex and specialist intervention to parents/families to improve the poor long-term prognosis for children with, or at risk of conduct problems.
- Delivering and adhering to fidelity of evidenced based parenting programmes (Incredible Years).
You will need:
- NVQ Level 3 in Child Care/Development.
- Experience of working with children, young people and families and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Trained in Incredible Years Parenting Programme.
- Experience of supporting families to manage their children's behaviour by using evidence based parenting programmes.
- Experience of working with multi-agency child protection systems and partner agencies and applying professional standards.
- Experience of attending service planning meetings, including direct participation and a full understanding of their purpose and intent.
