To deliver more affordable homes we are working more closely with responsible private capital.

Following the successful launch of our strategic partnership with M&G and in light of a significant pipeline of partnerships, we are looking to recruit a Real Estate Investment Manager, to join a new team with responsibility for developing Hyde's offering to investors, sourcing and securing appropriately aligned capital, managing stakeholder relationships and overseeing delivery of investment objectives. This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of developing and implementing new funding strategies to deliver social impact within the housing sector.

Role Overview

  • Origination of investment opportunities - ranging from large scale institutional partnerships to scheme specific investment to support Hyde's development programme
  • Financial modelling and analysis to assess opportunities
  • Support in commercial negotiations, managing external advisers through the due diligence and legal processes, and production of technical information
  • Working with colleagues across Hyde in identifying funding requirements driven by current and future residents' needs, and inputting to the development of funding solutions to deliver and maintain quality affordable and sustainable homes
  • Stakeholder and investor relations
  • Supporting robust implementation of ESG and impact frameworks across our activity (including extensions of Hyde's sector-leading 'Value of a Social Tenancy' work) - improving communication of the different aspects of value delivered to society through Hyde's activities and social purpose
  • Engagement within the not-for-profit sector to form alliances and to deliver more affordable homes

Specialist Knowledge

  • Proven track record in negotiating and executing real estate equity investment transactions with private sector investors
  • An understanding of residential development and of the management of residential, with an appreciation of sector considerations arising within the affordable housing sector

Skills

  • Highly numerate and analytical, with good attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of applications including, real estate specific valuation & appraisal software such as Argus Developer
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with multiple specialist teams to deliver complex transactions and a range of management services to investors
