Contract: Part-Time, Permanent - 21 hours per week (flexible on days)

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a confident and pro-active individual to provide compliance support to our charity client. You will ensure that all supporter engagement, fundraising and communications activities and materials are compliant with all the relevant legislative, regulatory and audit requirements.

The Role?

  • Oversee and manage the fundraising compliance framework in line with regulatory requirements
  • Develop policies / procedures to ensure fundraising compliance
  • Address compliance queries and provide advice to fundraising, marketing and campaign teams
  • Develop and embed the organisational risk framework within Fundraising, providing updates and recommendations to organisational risk registers
  • Provide compliance and risk training to teams within Fundraising Communications & Policy (FCP)
  • Be the contact point for Fundraising on data protection queries
  • Build networks to engage across FCP and increase awareness of risk & compliance issues

The Person:

To apply, please show how you meet the following criteria:

  • Ideally Degree Educated or Equivalent or proven track record
  • At least 3yrs experience in a similar role (Risk & Compliance, with charity sector experience is essential)
  • Experience in Fundraising / Marketing compliance
  • Experience in managing & developing risk management strategies
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements including data protection under GDPR, Fundraising Regulator, Gambling Commission, ICO direct marketing guidelines;
  • Able to build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience of compiling, producing and providing key input to reports, systems, processes
  • Highly computer literate and confident with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel
