A place for children to find their feet

The Role

Spring RAF Cosford is a purpose-built nursery based in a lovely rural environment. The nursery offers childcare for children from 3 months to 11 years for both military and civilian families. In our setting, we incorporate practices from Reggio Emilia and Montessori styles to enhance children's learning and self-confidence which works well with our individual planning to support each child's learning.

We are looking for a confident and experienced childcare professional to join our team to support a child with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis, it goes without saying that you love being around children and will have the ambition to make a direct and positive impact on their young lives.

You will make a difference by:

-Supporting childen with special needs in early years.

-Giving children a huge range of stimulating, safe and well-planned activities.

-Creating engaging, fun and informative learning opportunities, helping the children make excellent progress and meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

-Building solid relationships with parents / carers, families and professionals involved with the children.

-Meeting each of the children's individual needs, keeping accurate records and regularly communicating with parents / carers.

-Having a positive attitude, making every day count for the children in our care.

What will you need?

-A Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare qualification e.g. NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent

-Experience of working in an early years childcare setting or with children aged 0-5 ideally in special needs.

-Full understanding of children's emotional, physical, psychological and educational developmental needs from 0 to 5 years
