How Action for Children works
Action for Children does what's right, does what's needed and does what works for children across the UK. Every year, our team changes the lives of 370,000 children, young people and their families - but for every child who needs help to get help, there's plenty more to do. That's where you come in.
The role
To provide children with disabilities a positive and stimulating short break experience is a vital part of our work. As a Team Leader you'll be working in our Falkirk Tayavalla Short Breaks Service.
Tayavalla is a purpose built home where we support up to five children at any one time. When children stay we can offer a range of activities and experiences through the facilities we have. This includes sensory stimuli via our multi-sensory room, our spa bath with light and sound features and a garden area offering a variety of stimulating activity. The focus is to provide high quality care and support to children within a safe and caring environment. Tayavalla has consistently received positive grades of six and five from the Care Inspectorate for its service delivery.
We also adopt an outcome focussed approach where children are encouraged and supported to achieve individual goals and targets. These are set alongside children and their families. The role of Team Leader is to work alongside the Registered Manager to support the staff team in all aspects of service delivery to ensure safe and quality care to the children we support.
Doing vital work that has a direct and lasting effect, you'll be helping some of our most vulnerable children, their families and our society.
