Our client is a highly trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence and actively seeks a skilled Technical Administrator with extensive experience in Environmental Stress Screening (ESS). The successful candidate will manage all aspects of commissioning and day-to-day support of environmental and mechanical testing facilities at our client's advanced manufacturing facility in Bolton. Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will perform various tasks, such as updating and maintaining company equipment records, including archiving, and transferring activities. They will also be required to carry out costing activities in collaboration with ESS engineers, generate and update technical documentation (such as calibration specifications and proving documents) to support the ESS and Mechanical team, process facility documentation (including configuration control and external visitor paperwork), and work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve equipment documentation issues.

In addition, the candidate will be expected to assist in periodic competency monitoring checks on engineering certification documentation, raise and process purchase requisitions to support engineering activities and provide general support to the engineering team as required.

What Do You Need?:

  • A solid understanding of configuration control and asset management principles and practices is essential, and to emphasise these skills in detail on one's curriculum vitae.
  • Having a keen eye for detail and being mindful of budget management can be beneficial.
  • MS Office - Proficient in using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to generate technical
  • The candidate should be able to maintain a calm and professional manner even when requirements change unexpectedly.
  • Demonstrating proven experience with a helpful and supportive approach is also necessary.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but optional.
