Location: Chessington, Surrey
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with an element of flexibility required to work unsociable hours to meet the needs of the business
Salary: £41,300 - £48,300 DOE + Outer London Weighting Allowance

Moor Lane is a new and exciting Short Breaks Children's home for Children with disabilities. The home is based in Chessington and has been purpose built to meet the needs of the children, encouraging them to have fun and enjoy new experiences.
How will you make a difference?
As a Senior Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation of the new service, supporting both the existing staff team and service users to the new home. Initially the place of work will be in Kingston but once the home is registered the place of work will be Chessington. The manager will also be required to register with Ofsted as part of the registration of the home.
The main focus of this role is to take overall responsibility for the management of the home and lead with inspirational and ambitious vision, this will be achieved by:
- Contract monitoring
- Budget management
- Understanding safer recruitment, reflective and supportive supervisions.
- Auditing and regulating the home ensuring the home meets the requirements of an Ofsted Good, and by working towards an Outstanding.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with commissioners and other stakeholders
- Performance monitoring staff and services
- Promoting and maintaining the Action for Children's reputation and brand
What will you need:
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Level 5 NVQ in Leadership and Management
- Outstanding leadership qualities derived from excellent inter and intra - personal skills
- Previous experience managing contractual budgets
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of OFSTED requirements and safeguarding practices
- Previous experience managing Children Services which have been regulated with OFSTED
- A positive and approachable manner
