✨ About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Child Protection & Court Team in Wembley.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional who is confident working with children and families where there are safeguarding concerns, care proceedings, and complex family dynamics. You'll play a vital role in ensuring children's safety and wellbeing through timely intervention, robust assessments, and effective multi-agency collaboration.


🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Care Proceedings, or Public Law Outline (PLO).

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and produce evidence-based reports for court proceedings.

  • Develop and implement child-focused care and protection plans.

  • Attend and contribute to court hearings, case conferences, and multi-agency meetings.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.

  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interests of the child, following legal and statutory frameworks.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and analytical case records and reports.


👤 About You

You are a confident and skilled practitioner with a strong understanding of child protection procedures, risk assessment, and court processes. You are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families through high-quality, reflective social work practice.

Essential Requirements:
✅ Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
✅ Experience working within Child Protection and Court Teams.
✅ Strong knowledge of Children's Act 1989, Public Law Outline, and safeguarding legislation.
✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for court reporting.
✅ Ability to manage complex caseloads with professionalism and resilience.
